A large proportion of The Priory Rooms’ profits are donated to Central England Quakers. This autumn two of their projects, Peacemakers and Northfield Eco-centre, recruited new staff to expand their successful initiatives within the community.

Autumn_Swept_in_New_Arrivals.jpgPeacemakers unite education practitioners committed to promoting Education for Peace in schools. They welcomed Adrian Platt to the team as Operations Administrator. Adrian recently relocated to Birmingham after a year exploring international communities in the US and UK. He will support the smooth running of all the work Peacemakers do with existing and partner schools. Adrian was a timely addition as the autumn term quickly become one of Peacemakers’ busiest yet! Their 6 trainers are now working in a record breaking 20 schools across the region. They are also preparing to co-host the forth Peaceful Schools Conference in London, June 2016.

Northfield Eco-centre welcomed Jonathan Saner (pictured) as Business Development Manager. Jonathan will focus mainly on promoting the Eco-centre’s Energy and Education activities. The team say Jonathan is a great asset to folllowing their busy autumn agenda. They recently hosted Autumn Ecokids sessions; autumnal adventures playing with the wonderful colours of nature, and the annual Urban Harvest; picked fruit was donated to local children’s centres, homeless projects, schools and elderly care homes.

The Priory Rooms send them their congratulations!
