Mo_Boys_1.jpgThroughout November The Priory Rooms proudly supported The Movember Foundations’ “Movember” to raise awareness of men’s health issues. The Priory Rooms’ Mo Bros grew moustaches and the Mo Sistas championed the cause to the conference room users and visitors. The team were delighted to collectively fundraise a momentous £212 for The Movember Foundation!

The Movember Foundation is the leading global organisation committed to changing the face of men’s health. The Movember community has raised £346 million to date and funded over 800 programmes in 21 countries. This work is saving and improving the lives of men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.

Each year The Movember Foundation challenges men to grow moustaches during “Movember” (formerly known as November), to spark conversation and raise vital funds for its men’s health programmes. To date 4 million moustaches have been grown worldwide!

Mo_Boys_2.jpgAll throughout this “Movember” The Priory Rooms displayed information and advice from The Movember Foundation in the Atrium area, where conference room users could also donate towards the charity. However, attracting the most attention was The Priory Rooms male staff who grew incredible moustaches to help raise awareness! Well done to each of them for involving friends and family, fundraising a fantastic amount and being great champions for the charity!

To celebrate fundraising a mo-numental amount of money for the Movember Foundation, The Priory Rooms’ long standing catering suppliers Just Good Food delivered “moustache cupcakes” for the men who took part. They were thrilled with the surprise cupcakes, thank you Just Good Food for your support.

The Priory Rooms would like to thank our conference room users, visitors and the family and friends of the staff who all supported this Momentous Month of Moustache Growing!
