Blended Meetings..

We are embracing the need to create new solutions to help you all run an event whether that be large or small.
We have invested in new video conferencing equipment to allow delegates to virtually attend and communicate with each other. 
This is now available in our George Fox meeting room, the equipment installed includes new cameras, microphones and VC sound Bars.

Central England Quaker Christmas Appeal..

Central England Quakers have for the past 50+ years packed and delivered Christmas parcels to those who could use extra support during the festive period. With things being very different this year the plan is to provide probation staff with 900 x £15 worth of vouchers for local supermarkets.

Probation staff have asked to identify two or three of their current service users who are in dire need and would welcome a food parcel. Probation staff have agreed to purchase the items for their particular client(s) using the vouchers and then arrange to deliver the parcels. This means they can tailor the parcel to suit the family. It is hoped that at least this way, those who are hungry will have extra items over the festive period and a card will be sent with each parcel identifying how the funds have been raised. Central England Quakers are pleased to be able to maintain their close links with the probation services in the Midlands area with parcels going as far away as Hereford, Telford, Warwick, Walsall, Coventry, Solihull and all of Birmingham. 

Catering Options.. 

Same food, just served in a new way!  We have introduced new cold buffet boxes and fresh salad boxes.
Your lunch will be individually served in Biodegradable boxes. The packaging keeps in line with our sustainability ethos.
We have a range of vegetarian, meat and fish options which can be made upon request. 

We also take further steps to reduce our venue’s carbon footprint by supporting the Meat Free Monday campaign and offering customers an entirely vegetarian menu once a week.

New Efficent Heating System..

We are sure you will appreciate the work we have been doing behind the scenes. We now have a bank of three high efficiency boilers replacing the two older much less efficient ones. At the same time we have upgraded the Building Management System to better manage the heating and cooling of the building. We were able to do this work even though we were closed.

This will help us with being more energy efficient and sustainable with our heating management. 
 

Support Food Banks This Christmas..
 

The Trussell food bank support over 1,200 food bank centres across the UK. Together they provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, while also campaigning for change to end the need for food banks in the future.

Food banks rely on the support of their local communities to support people in crisis.
