Braidwood Trust School for the Deaf chose The Priory Rooms Meeting & Conference Centre for their 2013 Annual Evening Awards Ceremony with special guest the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Cllr Mike Leddy, jubilantly leading the honours.

Braidwood Trust School for the Deaf is the only secondary school for Deaf young people in the West Midlands, where staff aim to prepare each student with the life skills to live the lives they want to lead in the future whilst getting the most out of their lives right now.

The 2013 Annual Evening Awards Ceremony, held in The Priory Rooms Main Meeting House, brought together teachers, students and their families to celebrate another outstanding year and recognise the students’ success. The Lord Mayor of Birmingham was joined by his wife Lady Mayoress Pauline Leddy and daughter, and was delighted to be at the ceremony to congratulate the students.

The ceremony then started with the joyous school choir performing to guests. Exceptional students of the year were then praised and honoured with trophies throughout the ceremony.

The Lord Mayor praised the ceremony, commenting it was “An extremely rewarding evening with the pupils” and thanked all the staff at Braidwood Trust School for Deaf “for such excellent work, appreciated by pupils, parents and ourselves!”

The Priory Rooms Meeting & Conference Centre would like to thank Braidwood Trust School for Deaf for holding their special ceremony in the Main Meeting House and wish all the teachers and students every success in the future.
