Central England Quakers have proudly committed themselves to paying the regional living wage to staff of The Priory Rooms. Therefore as of January 2014 The Priory Rooms are honored to become a Living Wage Employer.

QCG.jpgCentral England Quakers believe that the living wage will significantly enhance their staffs quality of life and work. This is the latest initiative following the national lead set by Quakers in Britain, who strive for sustainable and ethical Quaker meeting venues.

The Priory Rooms Conference Centre Manager Andrew Callan and Business Development Manager Beth Reynolds attended the annual Quaker Centre Gathering Conference this January; where representatives from Quaker Meeting Centre’s across the UK discuss best possible practice when letting meeting rooms. The Priory Rooms were delighted to share the exciting developments they had made during 2013 and hear about their colleagues’ achievements! The conference planned the next positive steps the conference centre’s will make to consciously consider the environment, customers and staff in their business models.
